Ground Penetrating Radar and Electromagnetic Technologies for Subsurface Utility Identification

Presenter:  Mark Johnson, GPRS Market Manager, New England and Upstate NY

Presentation Topic:  By utilizing ground penetrating radar (GPR) and electromagnetic technologies trained technicians are able to identify the location of known and unknown subsurface utilities and infrastructure. These technologies are able to provide information on the horizontal and vertical location of subsurface utilities such as water lines, sanitary sewer lines, communication lines, electrical lines, underground storage tanks and much more. These elements can be located to create permanent records of utility findings. The technology can also be utilized to perform concrete scanning to locate rebar, post-tension cables, and utilities that are embedded in or just beneath concrete.

Dinner: Guinness beer battered haddock; or Lemon & Pepper Chicken; or Pasta with Roasted Vegetables. Dinner will include rolls & butter, seasonal green salad, roasted red potatoes, coffee/tea, and ice cream desert. A cash bar will be available for other beverages.
