Dear Member:

The Erie-Niagara Chapter of NYSSPE is soliciting from our members nominations for our annual chapter awards, which will be presented at an awards banquet the evening of February 26, 2016.   Below are the awards which the chapter confers each year, for which we are soliciting nominations:

ENGINEER OF THE YEAR

To recognize a licensed professional engineer displaying professional integrity, of high moral character and reputation, who consistently promotes the social and professional interest of the engineering community.

ENGINEERING MANAGER OF THE YEAR

To recognize a licensed professional engineer in responsible charge over a firm or business related to the field of engineering who has distinguished himself through continuous professional growth.

YOUNG ENGINEER OF THE YEAR

To recognize a licensed professional engineer, less than 35 years of age, who has displayed a sound knowledge and dedication to the engineering field and has devoted service to the Chapter in its activities.   Traditionally this award has been held for members of Erie-Niagara Chapter NYSSPE members.  This year we will accept nominations from non-members as well and award a NSPE membership to the awardee.

ENGINEERING EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

To recognize a licensed professional engineer who has made an outstanding contribution to the goals of the NYS Society of Professional Engineers in the field of education.

BASINSKI-WOHLER DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

To recognize a licensed professional engineer or land surveyor who has distinguished himself over time in service to the Chapter, is aware of the significance of the Chapter, and works diligently to preserve its existence.  This award is reserved for Erie-Niagara Chapter Members.

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

To recognize a person who has demonstrated a high degree of effectiveness in carrying out their responsibilities and has distinguished themselves to the community through professional and civic commitment.   This award is open to any citizen.
